It's Travel Thursday! Where do you wish you were traveling today?
View of Nicolet Bay from the Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, WI.
Travel Tip: The gorgeous fall colors may be coming to an end, but this vista remains spectacular all year round. Most people who visit this state park miss this view entirely. The lucky ones who find it are the people who took the scenic trolley tour or chose to explore the roads within the park. I was not one of the lucky ones. For years, I bypassed thinking it was a lackluster road that cut through the park. A year ago, I found myself stepping off a trolley and staring at this magnificent view. And just when you think the view can't get any better, this year I got lucky and hit it during the peak fall colors. When visiting the Peninsula State Park, follow the signs for the Skyline Road. This road will lead you to this magnificent view. Pull your car over, get out your camera and just take it all in.
